Member Care Checklist - Part 4

God has called us to deep community.

Many social scientists declare that people are more lonely today than ever before. Why? The pandemic contributed to that but I believe God’s people have lost the skills needed to nurture friendships. It is hard work, many of us have experienced betrayal, we live transient lives, we do not always get to choose our colleagues, language barriers, etc.

Global Workers have many reasons for not experiencing community. The problem is we pay a high price. God created you for relationship. The lack of community will leave a hole in your heart, make you more vulnerable to the enemies attacks, and lead to greater risks of depression.

I want to encourage you today in spite of all the obstacles you may face in developing deep, rich relationships, do the work, make the effort, take risks, be persistent. Don’t accept excuses.

There is too much at stake.
