What Makes a Person Successful?

This morning in my Bible study I journaled on Ezra 7:6:

“this Ezra went up from Babylonia. He was a scribe skilled in the Law of Moses that the Lord, the God of Israel, had given, and the king granted him all that he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him.”

It was God’s favor that made Ezra successful. He was skilled in his ministry but it was because the hand of God being on him, that the king granted all that he asked.

God’s favor on Ezra, gave him favor with the king.

I think we believe in God’s favor but I think we rely on our own intellect, skills, and abilities. We tend to try it on our own first and when that does not work we run to God.

I am not against education. I encourage everyone to have a personal growth plan but I am thankful that God has not left me on my own. God equips those He calls.

The truth is what God has called you to do is impossible without God. That way when the dream is accomplished, God gets all the credit.

The world has seen what man can do. The world needs to see what only God can do.

Seek God’s favor on your life. Seek God, when you find God, you get all that comes with God.

You receive the dream, the strategy, the resources, and the power to accomplish God’s will. That comes from God not from ourselves.

I like it that way. Takes the pressure off of me. My role is to depend on God and walk in faith. God will accomplish His will.
