Member Care Checklist - Part 8
Area 4 Fitness - Physical Health
Mayo Clinic says “Doing 30 minutes or more of exercise a day for three to five days a week may significantly improve depression or anxiety symptoms. But smaller amounts of physical activity — as little as 10 to 15 minutes at a time — may make a difference.”
Science is teaching us there is a direct connection between our physical health and our mental health. God created you with a body, soul, and spirit. They are connected, intertwined. When one area of our lives is sick, not working correctly, it impacts all the other areas. They are not independent of each other but dependent.
Walking 30 minutes a day will improve your mental health.
Meditating of God’s word improves your spiritual health.
Your Spiritual health impacts everything about you. Sin destroys all aspects. You cannot be living in sin and living healthy at the same time.
This is why I believe health is a direction not a destination.
This is not condemnation. I have my own weight issues. I care for you and desire for you to fulfill the call of God on your life. Your health impacts that. Good health results in more energy. Too much weight depletes your energy. Bad health could causes you to be less effective on the field and may cause you to leave the field.
At the end of each post, I write, "we are walking together". We are! I am praying for you, believe in you, and am here for you. Let’s all get going in the right direction in our health so we can do better and stay longer, for His glory.

- Are you going in the right direction in your physical health?
- When is the last time you had a health check up?
- How is your blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol levels?
- Is your weight going up or down?
