Seek Him and You Will Find Him
I believe the most important principle of member care is having an encounter with God. God can do more in a moment than man can do in a lifetime.
Do not get me wrong, I am thankful for counselors, resources, and the other gifts God has provided the body of Christ. I have personally been helped by all of them at critical times in my life.
But sometimes I need a touch from God, I need a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit.
Some of our needs can only be met by Him.
This makes sense because you and I were created to have fellowship with the divine and we were promised that if we seek God, He will be found by us.
”But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul“ Deuteronomy 4:29 NKJV
I love playing hide and seek with my grandchildren. But I never try to hide too hard, the fun for me is when they find me. The same is for your Heavenly Father. It may seem like he is hiding but the truth is he loves to be found by you.
Keep seeking.
