Member Care -What is the most important thing a global worker is to do?
What is our top priority?
The good news is Jesus tells us and makes it clear.
Luke 10:40-42 ESV
But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”
Observation
Martha was distracted
Much serving - Good things not the one thing
Questioned Jesus - when we get tired, weary, we question Jesus - do you not care?
Jesus was not the problem - Martha you are anxious and troubled about many things
One things is necessary - Abiding with Jesus
Chose the good portion - Jesus is the bread of life
Will not be taken away from her - not an excuse for laziness but a call to abiding
Application
I am called to be an intercessor for AGWM. It is my highest calling
Do not become
The solution is Jesus is my portion
Time with Jesus is necessary - to need, want, require, necessary business. Best things I have to choose what is necessary, what is best
That is spending time with Jesus
