Member Care - What will make you happy?

I read an article recently by Dr. Henry Cloud.

He said that happy people engage in five activities:
  • They nurture a relationship with God
  • They build deep relationships and community
  • They exercise and stay healthy
  • They pursue goals
  • They serve others

These are all areas of self care.

Health is a direction, not a destination. If you are going to be healthy you must be living in the right direction in your spiritual, relational, mental, and physical lives.

You were created for relationship with God and man. If your relational world is broken then everything is broken.

If your health breaks down, it will impact all of your life.

If you live for yourself, you destroy yourself. It is more blessed to give than receive.

You were created to pursue goals, dreams, and God-given desires.

  • How is your health?
  • What area of your life is not heading in the right direction?
  • What changes do you need to make?
  • What goals should you be pursuing?

Life is not complicated, it is rather simple, but simple does not mean easy.

We need to take time and evaluate where we are at. What is your reality?

Then set a goal and develop a plan to make the life-giving changes you need to make.
