Gaining Wisdom From God
"Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches."
Proverbs 24:3-4 (NKJV)
"A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables."
Proverbs 24:3-4 (NLT)
God generously gives wisdom to those who ask, as the Bible encourages us to seek wisdom from Him, who gives it freely. It is God's desire for us to have wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.
God is omniscient. His guidance is always perfect and timely. He knows the past, present, and future and directs us accordingly.
We gain God’s wisdom through studying Scripture, seeking His presence, and asking for His insight. The pursuit of wisdom begins with seeking Jesus. When we focus on Him, wisdom and everything else we need will follow. Our goal is not to pursue wisdom itself, but to spend time with Christ.
Today's verses remind us that a household is built by wisdom, established by understanding, and thrives through knowledge. This applies to every aspect of our lives—whether family, business, or ministry. Receiving guidance from God is essential to our success, and nothing is more strategic or valuable than abiding in Christ.
